OUR STORY
Furniture, cabinetry and homes are just a few of the many things that wood craftsman Wayne Hoppel has been building with expertise for years. In 1998 Wayne decided to take up building guideboats in the Adirondack tradition.
A rowed boat resembling a strip canoe, the Adirondack Guideboat originated in the 19th century, carrying hunters and their guides throughout the Adirondack waterways.
To this day the Adirondack Guideboat is a celebrated tradition. Our goal is to build a boat that honors the original look coupled with handcrafted modern construction. We build heirlooms meant to be used, and enjoyed, by your family for generations!
